Last Sunday, October 3, Ari Tenenbaum of Revolution Landscape had the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser to help raise money to support the Olivewood Garden and Learning Center in National City.
Olivewood Gardens is a ½ acre urban garden dedicated helping children and families from the surrounding community reconnect with the natural environment through food, education, and community engagement.
The fundraiser included a five start meal prepared by chef Anne Cooper (also known as the Renegade Lunch Lady) on Saturday night and a family picnic at the garden on Sunday. Ari Tenenbaum helped young up and coming gardener’s to make their own seedling mix and plant seeds for the fall season. Peas, lettuce, bok choy, and cilantro are just a few of the exciting fall crops.
