Building a Greener Future, Today!
Insured, bonded and licensed by the State of California (Lic. #948821), San Diego based Revolution Landscape is dedicated to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Because we are a design-build contractor, we can ensure that the intention and integrity of our landscape designs are fully implemented throughout the construction phase. Our committed construction crew follows an established process to ensure efficiency and quality. The team also works well with outside contractors and landscape designers.
Fresh air and a clean ocean are things that every Southern Californian can appreciate. During landscape construction we use environmentally friendly practices such as repurposing materials from the site such as existing pavers and large tree limbs. We also source lumber from certified sustainable vendors and install efficient irrigation systems with smart, weather based controllers. Utilizing porous pavement materials and building retention basins we retain water onsite, further reducing water runoff while replenishing our natural aquifers.
Storm Water Management
The Residential Landscape Construction Process
1. Project Scope and Site Preparation
After we have collaborated to create the scope of work and have the materials approved, we set up a project timeline and begin site preparation. Existing plants and materials are repurposed, relocated or recycled. Appropriate grading and earthworks may be done to address drainage or runoff issues. Special consideration is always made to protect trees, topsoil and utilities.
2. Hardscape and Irrigation Installation
After the basic site preparation and grading, we begin the hardscape layout and construction, which includes the installation of decks, pathways, gazebos, fences, water elements, and other features. The layout and installation of lighting and irrigation systems are integrated into this phase as well. We source our building materials from local, sustainably harvested or recyclable materials whenever possible and avoid toxic wood preservatives and chemicals. We also strive to partner with local vendors.
3. Planting and Detailing
The foundation for a healthy, thriving garden is healthy soil. We amend with local, organic, composted materials and worm castings. Plants are sourced from local nurseries and installed by our trained crew. After the planting work is done, we fine-tune the irrigation system to ensure appropriate and adequate watering efficiency. Where appropriate, organic mulch is heavily applied to minimize water loss, reduce weeds, and improve the soil. We then detail the landscape to ensure a finished product with a high level of curb appeal.
