Building a Greener Future, Today!
Revolution Landscape’s construction team is insured, bonded and licensed by the State of California (Lic. #948821). Our experienced management and commitment to quality craftsmanship have positioned Revolution Landscape at the forefront of our industry. We not only are an award winning design-build company, but also continue to grow as the leader in San Diego’s green landscaping movement.
Our own in-house, CLCA Certified Landscape Technician construction crew ensures that the intention and integrity of our landscape designs are fully implemented throughout the construction phase. In order to guarantee efficiency and quality, the crew follows an established installation process. The team also works well with outside contractors, other landscape designers, and artists. Our service area for commercial project installation is Southern California.
Storm Water Management
Fresh air and a clean ocean are things that every Southern Californian can appreciate. During landscape construction we use environmentally friendly techniques. Some of our green landscaping construction methodology includes establishing native plants, low-water ornamentals, and lots of fruit trees and vegetables. We install efficient irrigation systems and smart weather based controllers. We also use reclaimed materials from the site like existing pavers and large tree limbs. We source lumber from certified sustainable vendors, use porous pavement materials and build retention basins that retain water onsite.
The Commercial Landscape Construction Process
1. Project Scope and Site Preparation
After the scope of work has been defined and the materials have been approved, a project timeline is developed and we begin site preparation, which includes identifying underground utilities and permitting from the City of San Diego. Existing plants and materials are repurposed, relocated or recycled. Appropriate grading and earthworks are performed to address drainage and water retention. Special consideration is made to protect trees, topsoil and utilities.
2. Hardscape and Irrigation Installation
After the basic site preparation and grading, we engage in the hardscape layout and construction of structures, pathways, fences, water elements, and other features. The installation of lighting and irrigation systems are integrated into this phase as well. Building materials are sourced from certified sustainable venders and we avoid products with toxic preservatives and chemicals.
3. Planting and Detailing
The foundation for healthy, thriving plants is healthy soil. We amend with local compost and organic fertilizers. Plants are sourced from certified organic nurseries and carefully installed by our trained crew. After the planting work is done, we fine-tune the irrigation system to ensure appropriate and adequate watering efficiency. Where appropriate, organic mulch is heavily applied to minimize water loss, reduce weeds, and improve the soil. We then detail the landscape to ensure a finished product with a high level of curb appeal.
