Landscape Design

Our designers work with our clients to create a detailed design of a tasteful, productive, and practical landscape.  We utilize the site’s natural topography to minimize water runoff and consider each area’s exposure to sunlight to determine where vegetation will thrive.  We offer over 30 varieties of native species and an array of fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs many of which are heirloom varieties.  Designs can be as simple as a 10×4 ft. raised bed to grow vegetables or can encompass the entire property.

Construction

The stages of our landscape projects typically include removal of grass and invasive plants, installation of drip irrigation system or adaptation of current irrigation, stone and wood work construction, planting of vegetation, and layering of fresh mulch. Our product is a water-conscious and food producing landscape that will not only satisfy but inspire you.

Maintenance & Harvest

Maintenance activities include plant upkeep such as weeding and pruning, planting of seasonal vegetation, operation of your irrigation system, and, of course, a harvest of fruits and vegetables. Our clients who opt for Revolution’s maintenance service look forward to a basket of freshly picked, organic produce each week.

Revolution Style

Just as our services provide a sustainable system for the client, Revolution also supports the health of the earth by exercising environmentally-conscious practices in day to day operations.  We collect client vegetable scraps to make organic compost, use our own chicken manure for fertilizer, and plan to power a truck on recycled vegetable oil by the end of 2010.  Onsite, we use materials that retain water and reduce runoff, establish plants that restore soil nutrients and attract beneficial insects, save seeds for the following season, reuse plant cuttings as mulch so that practically no waste is taken to the dump, and install drip irrigation systems that have reduced client landscape water use by up to 60%.
