Water Restriction Rules and Watering Schedule
San Diego is no longer in a ‘grace period’ as the new water restrictions have taken effect. The changes you should be aware of are:
- Landscapes can only be watered before 10am and after 6pm
- Landscapes can only be watered three days a week
- Homes with odd numbered addresses are permitted to be watered on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday
- Homes with even numbered addresses are permitted to be watered on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday
- Apartments, condos, and businesses are permitted to be water on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Driveways, sidewalks, and related areas are no longer permitted to be washed using water
City employees will help to enforce the new rules and offenders can be fined. Talk with your gardener to ensure compliance with these new regulations and do your part in mitigating our water shortage. Visit http://www.cbs8.com/Global/story.asp?S=10452992 for the complete article.
